Arcade Mode

Inspired by trading card games and free-to-play video games, our arcade mode allows players to collect limited edition collectable cards that can be battled, levelled up, fused, and traded. This mode offers dynamic gameplay, letting players earn loot and collect cards to flex their skills.

Pro Mode

Pro Mode is a premium compete-to-win and trade mode that features in-game video conferencing. It's ideal for players at all skill levels who are serious about competitive play and want to compete for and earn USDC.

Battle Mode

Prepare for intense battles in Checkmate's "Winner Takes All" mode. Stake your cards against opponents, and the victor claims all!

Scrim Mode A unrated arena where you can experiment, learn, and connect with other players. It's your go-to mode whether you're gearing up for competitive play, streaming , or just looking for a friendly practice match.

Trade Mode To enhance your strategic play, Avatars, Avatar traits, skins and cards can be traded in the Checkmate marketplace; it's another reason to get strategic about your collecting and gameplay.

Competitive Mode

Checkmate's competitive mode is specifically tailored for FIDE-rated player. It strictly follows FIDE's rules for online chess and employs the Elo rating system.

All Checkmate season passes are a suped-up battle pass that unlocks loot and rewards.

Community Rewards

In the spirit of sports and today's community-centric games, Checkmate has established the Community Treasury. Our model is designed to be fair, transparent, and geared towards sustainable growth, with a share of Checkmate's ongoing revenue allocated to support initiatives and the Checkmate community.

Community Treasury ‍The Checkmate Treasury and the attached prize pool is a dynamic fund that grows with every trade and treasury drop. This ever-increasing pool of funds is allocated to the competitive calendar, Fair Play, community initiatives, and community support.

‍The Community Treasury receives:

• 100% of treasury drops

• 50% of Alpha Pre-sale and Public Sale net revenue

• 50% of Checkmate and participating marketplace secondary sales royalties

• 50% of all in-season TX marketplace fees

Participation Token Checkmate plans to introduce a Participation Token as a key ecosystem element. Alpha Avatar holders will periodically receive airdrops of the token or credits as a reward for their early support. Airdrop allocation will be based on each Alpha Avatars holder's class.

Players and viewers can earn by participating on the Checkmate platform.

Community Voice ‍Alpha and pro pass holders can actively participate in community decision-making and players councils have been put in place to ensure players are represented:
