Age Restrictions
Chess is classified as a pure game of skill however Checkmate is only currently available for users that are the age of 15 and up. Certain features are disabled or resticted for users that are under 18.
This is in place for user safety, Fair play and legal reasons. Checkmate contains optional customisation options and in-game cosmetics which can be purchased in our in-game store. Certain features like the pro pass, community trading or require player KYC verification.

** Paticipants who enter events with a live final must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at their own expense. Players can submit an application to the community for assistance from the Community support in an instance where support is required.
